Bento Brothers is building a fresh, hygienic and nutritious school lunch service for children in Mohali. We’re looking for a responsible and experienced Chef/Cook who cares about food quality, cleanliness and children’s nutrition.

Position

School Lunch Chef / Kitchen Chef

Location: 71 Sector, Mohali, Punjab

Employment: Part-time

Working Hours: Morning shift — exact timing will be discussed

Pay: ₹15,000–₹20,000/month

Holidays & Weekly Off

Every Sunday — OFF

Major festivals — OFF

Selected Saturdays — OFF

Additional holidays when schools are closed, depending on the school calendar

Holiday schedule communicated in advance

Your Responsibilities

Prepare fresh meals according to the weekly school-lunch menu.

Prepare different cuisines every day, including Indian, Chinese, Continental and other child-friendly food.

Handle changing menus and a variety of dishes.

Maintain consistent taste, quality and portion sizes.

Prepare child-friendly meals with appropriate spice levels.

Follow strict hygiene, food-safety and kitchen SOPs.

Wash, cut, store and handle ingredients properly.

Monitor food quality,



freshness and cooking temperatures.

Minimize food wastage and follow FIFO storage practices.

Keep equipment, work surfaces and kitchen clean.

Coordinate daily quantities and ensure meals are prepared and packed on time.

Requirements

1–3+ years of cooking/kitchen experience preferred

Good experience with Indian and Chinese cooking.

Experience preparing different cuisines and a variety of dishes.

Bulk cooking/catering/tiffin/school-meal experience is an advantage.

Knowledge of hygiene and food safety.

Able to follow recipes and standardized portions.

Reliable, punctual, responsible and hardworking.

Valuable personal hygiene and comfortable working in a small, growing food business.
