Android Developer

Job Scope

We are looking for an Android Developer who possesses a passion for pushing mobile technologies to the limits and will work with our team of talented engineers to design and build the next generation of our mobile applications.

Responsibilities

- Design and build advanced applications for the Android platform.- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship current features.- Work with outside data sources and API’s.- Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability.- Work on fixing bugs and improving application performance.- Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.

- Ability to understand the requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and estimate timelines.- Source code version control.

Job Description

- Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle.
- Understanding of Google’s Android design principles and interface guidelines.
- Strong knowledge of Android SDK, Eclipse, Android Studio, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes/resolutions.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services.
- Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices.




- Experience with offline storage (SQLite, Files), multi-threading, and performance tuning.
- Ability to design applications around natural user interfaces, such as “touch”.
- Familiarity with the use of additional sensors, such as gyroscopes and accelerometers.
- Knowledge of the open-source Android ecosystem and the libraries available for common tasks.
- Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications (FCM, GCM).
- Familiarity with continuous integration.

Added Advantage:

- Hands-on experience with Flutter and Dart for cross-platform mobile development.
- Knowledge of integrating third-party Flutter packages and plugins.
- Understanding of hybrid app development techniques and limitations.
- Ability to maintain and support existing Flutter applications.
