Job Summary

Dr. Aravind’s IVF Fertility & Pregnancy Centre is looking for an experienced OT Technician In-Charge / OT Head to oversee daily operation theatre activities and coordinate the OT team. The role involves maintaining OT readiness, supporting procedures, ensuring proper instrument handling and sterilization, and coordinating with doctors, nurses, and other clinical staff.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee day-to-day operation theatre activities.
- Coordinate and guide OT Technicians, nurses, and support staff.
- Plan OT requirements according to the procedure schedule.
- Ensure the theatre is prepared and ready before procedures.
- Check availability and condition of surgical instruments and equipment.
- Assist doctors and the clinical team during procedures as required.
- Ensure proper cleaning, sterilization, handling, and storage of instruments.
- Follow infection-control and patient-safety practices.
- Maintain OT registers, records, and required documentation.
- Monitor OT consumables and coordinate replenishment when required.
- Coordinate with doctors, anesthetists, nurses, and other departments.




- Report equipment or operational issues to the appropriate team.
- Train and guide junior OT staff on standard procedures and safety practices.
- Maintain an organized and professional OT workplace.

Eligibility

- Diploma / B.Sc. in Operation Theatre Technology (OTT) or equivalent qualification.
- Relevant experience in OT operations, preferably in a supervisory or in-charge capacity.
- Experience in IVF, gynecology, laparoscopy, or related surgical procedures is an advantage.
- Good knowledge of sterilization and infection-control procedures.
- Strong team coordination and communication skills.
- Immediate joiners are preferred.
