Position: Welding & Fit-Up Inspection Trainee / Junior Inspector
Location: Chakan, Pune
Department: Production / Quality
Experience: Freshers to 1–2 years
Educational Qualification
- ITI candidates from relevant trades
- Fresh DME candidates
- B.Sc. candidates with an interest in manufacturing/fabrication
- Candidates with short experience in fabrication or a related field
- Freshers are welcome
Job Responsibilities
- Inspect welding and fit-up activities as per drawings and company requirements.
- Check dimensions, alignment, fit-up, weld joints and basic fabrication parameters.
- Coordinate with welders, fitters and production team during fabrication activities.
- Identify basic welding and fit-up defects and report them to the concerned supervisor.
- Ensure work is carried out as per approved drawings, specifications and quality requirements.
- Maintain inspection records and documentation.
- Support the Quality and Production teams in maintaining shop-floor quality.
Skills & Requirements
- Basic understanding of mechanical drawings will be an advantage.
- Interest in working on the manufacturing/shop floor.
- Good observation and measurement skills.
- Willingness to learn welding, fabrication and inspection processes.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Training will be provided by the company through on-the-job training.
