SME Careers is looking for Odia (Oriya) language specialists to help evaluate and improve AI-generated content. In this role, you will review AI responses in Odia, create high-quality reference content, and provide detailed feedback to improve language accuracy, fluency, and cultural relevance.

What You'll Do

- Review and evaluate AI-generated Odia content for accuracy, fluency, grammar, spelling, and tone.
- Check responses for cultural appropriateness, meaning, logical consistency, and prompt adherence.
- Identify mistranslations, ambiguity, incorrect wording, and formal/informal register issues.
- Create high-quality Odia prompts, reference answers, rewrites, and model responses.
- Compare and rank multiple AI responses based on overall quality.
- Fact-check claims when required and identify misleading or inaccurate information.
- Detect potential bias, unsafe content, and language that may create policy or quality concerns.
- Provide clear and precise written feedback in English.
- Help improve the quality and naturalness of AI-generated Odia language output.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree or higher in Odia/English literature, linguistics, communications, journalism, translation, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Native or near-native proficiency in Odia, including strong reading and writing skills.
- Strong skilled English proficiency (C1 or above).
- 3+ years of experience in writing, editing, translation, localisation, journalism, education, content QA, or a related field.
- Robust understanding of Odia grammar, spelling, punctuation, and writing style.




- Ability to work with both formal and informal Odia and understand regional language variations.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify subtle meaning or translation issues.
- Strong written communication and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote, hourly contractor environment.
- Experience with AI training, data annotation, translation QA, editorial QA, or rubric-based evaluation is a strong plus.
