Job Summary

We are looking for experienced US Mortgage Underwriters with 3+ years of relevant experience in US residential mortgage underwriting. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of US mortgage guidelines, credit assessment, income calculation, and loan documentation.

Key Responsibilities

- Underwrite US residential mortgage loan applications.
- Review and analyze borrower credit, income, assets, liabilities, and employment.
- Evaluate loan documentation including credit reports, bank statements, tax returns, pay stubs, and other financial documents.
- Assess borrower eligibility as per US mortgage and investor guidelines.
- Identify risks, discrepancies, and potential fraud indicators.
- Make appropriate underwriting decisions and issue loan conditions.
- Ensure compliance with applicable US mortgage guidelines and requirements.
- Work closely with processors, loan officers, QC teams, and other stakeholders.
- Meet defined productivity, quality, and turnaround-time targets.

Required Skills & Experience





- 3+ years of hands-on experience in US Mortgage Underwriting is mandatory.
- Strong understanding of US mortgage underwriting processes and guidelines.
- Experience with Conventional, FHA, VA, USDA or other US mortgage products is preferred.
- Good knowledge of DTI, LTV/CLTV, credit analysis, income calculation, assets and liabilities.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and documentation skills.
- Valuable communication skills.

Important Requirements

- Immediate joiners only.
- 3+ years of relevant US Mortgage Underwriting experience mandatory.
- Candidates currently outside Mumbai who are willing to relocate are welcome.
- Relocation assistance up to ₹50,000 will be provided to eligible candidates.
- Candidates must be comfortable working in US shifts/night shifts as per business requirements.

Compensation & Benefits
