About the Role

We are looking for a hardworking, experienced and result-oriented Merchandiser with strong knowledge of the home décor and handicraft industry.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in developing and merchandising products across seasonal décor, home décor, kitchen utility and lifestyle categories, with good understanding of materials such as wood, metal, glass and other mixed materials.

Candidates with experience working with US and European buyers and understanding of international buyer requirements will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities

- Handle the complete merchandising process from product development to order execution.
- Develop and source new products according to buyer requirements and market trends.
- Work on seasonal décor, home décor, kitchen utility and lifestyle products.
- Coordinate with factories, artisans, vendors and production teams for product development.
- Follow up on samples, costing, product specifications and approvals.
- Ensure products meet required quality, finishing, dimensions, packaging and buyer specifications.
- Coordinate with buyers regarding product development, samples, revisions and order requirements.
- Manage T&A; / order timelines and ensure timely completion of orders.
- Follow up with suppliers and production teams to maintain delivery schedules.
- Understand product costing, material requirements and pricing.
- Identify suitable materials,



finishes and production techniques for new products.
- Conduct regular follow-ups for sampling, production and quality issues.
- Coordinate with the quality team to ensure products meet buyer standards.
- Maintain product development and order-related documentation.
- Keep updated with international home décor and seasonal product trends.
- Support the team in developing commercially viable products for export markets.

Product & Material Knowledge Required

The candidate should have practical knowledge of products made using:

- Wood – Mango Wood, Acacia, Pine, MDF, Veneer, etc.
- Metal – Iron, Aluminium, Steel and other decorative metals
- Glass
- Ceramic / Stoneware
- Mixed-material products
- Other handicraft and natural materials

Eligibility

- 2–5 years of relevant experience in merchandising/product development.
- Experience in home décor, handicrafts, kitchen utility, lifestyle or seasonal décor.
- Experience dealing with US / European buyers will be an advantage.
- Candidates should have practical knowledge of product development and manufacturing.
- Candidates with strong factory/vendor coordination experience are preferred.
