Pharmacist Job Description

A Pharmacist is responsible for dispensing medications safely, providing medication-related advice to patients, and ensuring compliance with applicable pharmacy laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

- Dispense prescription and over-the-counter medicines accurately.
- Review prescriptions for appropriate drug, dosage, interactions, and contraindications.
- Counsel patients on medication use, dosage, side effects, and storage.
- Maintain accurate records of prescriptions, inventory, and controlled medicines.
- Monitor and manage pharmacy stock, including ordering and expiry-date checks.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of medicines.
- Coordinate with doctors and other healthcare professionals when clarification is required.
- Follow all applicable pharmacy, health, and safety regulations.
- Maintain a clean, organized,



and skilled pharmacy environment.
- Handle customer/patient queries and provide appropriate healthcare information.
- Report medication errors, adverse drug reactions, and other safety concerns as required.

Qualifications

- Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) or Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm), as applicable.
- Valid pharmacist registration with the relevant regulatory authority.
- Good knowledge of medicines, prescriptions, and pharmacy practices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
