Core Responsibilities1. Team & Operations Leadership
- Supervise, mentor, and schedule biomedical engineers and junior technicians.
- Set daily workflow priorities for emergency repairs and routine servicing. [1]
2. Equipment Lifecycle & Procurement
- Provide technical evaluation during pre-purchase stages of new medical devices.
- Coordinate installation, site readiness, performance testing, and user acceptance.
- Track asset inventory, depreciation, and end-of-life replacement plans. [1, 2]
3. Maintenance, Safety & Calibration
- Oversee preventive maintenance (PM) and corrective maintenance programs.
- Ensure strict adherence to electrical safety, calibration, and risk assessment protocols.
- Manage root-cause analysis for critical equipment failures. [1, 2, 3]
4. Vendor & Contract Management
- Negotiate and evaluate Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMCs/CCMCs)
with original equipment manufacturers (OEMs).
- Develop cost-effective local repair pathways (e.g., component-level PCB repair instead of full assembly replacement). [1]
5. Regulatory & Accreditation Compliance
- Ensure compliance with hospital accreditation standards (such as NABH Facility Management and Safety chapters in India).
- Maintain statutory logs, AERB compliance for radiation/imaging units, and safety audit trails.
6. Training & Support
- Conduct clinical training for nurses and doctors on secure device handling and error reporting.
- Serve as the technical liaison between clinical departments and executive management
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
