Job Post: Documentary-Style Video Editors Needed

Position: Video Editor (Documentary / Long-Form Content)
Location: Remote / Hyderabad (flexible)
Type: Project-based / Full-time (negotiable)

We are looking for skilled documentary-style video editors to join our production team for YouTube long-form content, news explainers, and social-issue documentaries in Telugu and English.

Role Overview

You will be responsible for turning raw footage, news clips, images, and voice-over into compelling, well-paced documentary videos optimized for YouTube retention and storytelling.

Responsibilities

- Edit long-form documentary videos (8–25 minutes) with strong narrative flow
- Sync and clean voice-over, add background score, SFX, and ambient sound
- Use B-roll, news clips, stock footage, maps, and graphics to support the story
- Add animated text, lower-thirds, titles, and callouts as per script
- Ensure color correction, audio leveling, and consistent visual style




- Deliver final exports in YouTube-ready formats (1080p/4K, correct bitrate)
- Collaborate with researchers, scriptwriters, and channel managers for revisions

Requirements

- Proven experience editing documentary, news, explainer, or long-form YouTube videos
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro (preferred) or DaVinci Resolve / Final Cut Pro
- Strong sense of pacing, storytelling, and audience retention
- Ability to source and use royalty-free or licensed stock footage responsibly
- Positive understanding of YouTube best practices (hooks, retention, chaptering)
- Portfolio or sample links of previous documentary-style edits (mandatory)
- Telugu knowledge is a plus but not required

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹33,828.33 per month
