Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and technically strong Tooling Manager to manage the complete tooling and mould development activities for plastic injection moulding operations. The candidate will be responsible for mould design coordination, development, maintenance, troubleshooting, tool trials, vendor management, and ensuring moulds are delivered as per quality and production requirements.

Key Responsibilities

1. Tooling & Mould Development

· Manage current mould development from concept to production.

· Review mould designs, specifications, drawings, and tooling requirements.

· Coordinate with Design, NPD, Production, Quality, and external tool vendors.

· Ensure moulds are developed according to customer specifications and timelines.

· Plan and monitor mould trials, corrections, modifications, and approvals.

· Ensure proper documentation and history for all moulds.

2. Tooling Maintenance





· Plan and monitor preventive and breakdown maintenance of moulds.

· Identify recurring mould-related problems and implement permanent corrective actions.

· Ensure moulds are maintained to maximize tool life and reduce downtime.

· Maintain records of mould maintenance, repairs, modifications, and spare requirements.

3. Technical Troubleshooting

· Troubleshoot moulding defects related to tooling, such as flash, short moulding, sink marks, warpage, burn marks, and dimensional issues.

· Analyze mould failures and coordinate corrective actions.

· Support Production and Quality teams during critical tooling-related issues.

· Conduct root-cause analysis and implement preventive measures.

4. Tool Room Management
