A civil quality engineer (QA/QC engineer) ensures that construction materials, processes, and final structures meet required design specifications, regulatory codes, and quality standards.
Core Roles and Responsibilities
- Quality Planning and Procedures:
- Create and implement the Project Quality Plan (PQP).
- Prepare Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and construction method statements.
- Define and monitor quality metrics and checklists for site activities.
- Site Inspections and Testing:
- Conduct routine inspections at every phase of construction (receiving, in-process, and final inspection).
- Supervise and verify material testing, such as concrete compressive strength, sieve analysis, and soil compaction.
- Coordinate joint inspections with clients, contractors, and external consultants.
- Non-Conformance and Corrective Actions:
- Identify and document work or materials that fail to meet specifications.
- Issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and Site Observation Reports (SORs).
- Track and verify corrective and preventive actions to prevent project rework.
- Documentation and Compliance:
- Review design and as-built drawings against site execution.
- Maintain accurate logs of inspection test reports, calibration records, and material submittals.
- Ensure compliance with local building codes and international standards.
Pay: Up to ₹45,000.00 per month
