We are looking for a skilled and passionate Pattern Making Faculty to join our Fashion Design Department. The faculty member will be responsible for teaching students the fundamentals and advanced techniques of pattern making, garment construction, pattern development, and fit. The role involves both theoretical instruction and practical, hands-on training.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach basic and advanced pattern making techniques to Fashion Design students.
- Conduct practical classes on flat pattern making, draping, and pattern development.
- Demonstrate pattern drafting for various garments.
Required Skills
- Robust knowledge of Pattern Making and Garment Construction.
- Good understanding of fashion design principles, garment fit, measurements, and textiles.
- Ability to teach both theory and practical-based subjects.
- Knowledge of Indian and Western garment pattern development.
- Solid practical and demonstration skills.
- Good communication and classroom management skills.
- Ability to mentor and guide students effectively.
- Knowledge of industry-standard pattern-making methods is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of CAD pattern making will be an added advantage.
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Fashion Design, Apparel Design, Fashion Technology, Garment Technology, or a related field.
Experience
- 2–5 years of teaching or industry experience in Pattern Making / Fashion Design / Garment Construction is preferred.
- Candidates with relevant industry experience and strong practical knowledge may also apply.
Pay: ₹20,824.69 - ₹30,207.17 per month
