About the Role

NR Realty is scaling up its development pipeline with 5 lakh sq. ft. of new projects launching over the

coming year. We are looking for an experienced General Manager – Construction to head the construction

wing and take full ownership of on-ground execution for these projects — from planning and mobilization

through to handover.

This is a leadership role for someone who can build and run a solid construction team, bring structure and

discipline to site operations, and deliver projects on time, within budget, and to quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Project Execution & Planning

- Take end-to-end ownership of construction execution for the upcoming 5 lakh sq. ft. project portfolio
- Develop detailed project execution plans, schedules, and resource plans in coordination with design,

procurement, and planning teams

- Monitor progress against timelines and proactively resolve bottlenecks to avoid delays

Team Leadership

- Build, lead, and mentor the construction team, including site engineers, project managers,

planning/billing engineers, and site supervisors

- Define clear roles, responsibilities, and reporting structures across all active sites
- Drive performance management, capability building, and a strong safety/quality culture within the team

Quality, Safety & Compliance

- Ensure construction quality meets defined specifications and industry standards
- Enforce safety protocols and statutory compliance (labour laws, environmental norms, building codes,

etc.) across all sites

- Coordinate with quality control teams and conduct regular site audits

Vendor & Contractor Management

- Identify, evaluate, and manage contractors, sub-contractors, and material vendors




- Negotiate contracts and ensure vendor performance aligns with project timelines and cost targets
- Resolve contractual and execution-related disputes

Budgeting & Cost Control

- Own the construction budget across projects; track costs against approved estimates
- Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or safety
- Work closely with the finance team on billing, payments, and cost reporting

Stakeholder Coordination

- Act as the primary point of contact for construction-related matters with architects, consultants,

structural engineers, and government authorities

- Provide regular progress reports and risk updates to senior management
- Coordinate with sales and marketing teams to align construction milestones with launch and

possession commitments

Requirements

- Education: B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering (Master's in Construction Management is a plus)
- Experience: 12–18 years in construction/project execution within real estate or infrastructure, with at

least 4–5 years in a leadership role managing multiple projects/teams

- Proven track record of delivering large-scale residential/commercial projects (experience handling

projects of comparable scale, ~5 lakh sq. ft. or more, preferred)

- Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, RCC structures, MEP coordination, and modern

building practices

- Hands-on experience with project management tools (MS Project, Primavera, or similar) and

ERP/construction management software

- Solid understanding of statutory approvals, RERA compliance, and local building regulations
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- Strong analytical ability with a hands-on, execution-focused mindset

Pay: ₹2,200,000.00 - ₹3,000,000.00 per year
