We are building a procurement engine that can source smarter, negotiate better, move faster, and create measurable business value.

We are looking for a hands-on Procurement & Sourcing professional who can take ownership of the function, build a solid supplier network, streamline procurement processes, drive cost and margin improvement, and lead a high-performing team.

Position- Procurement & Strategic Sourcing Manager

Location-Thane

Working days- Monday to Friday with 2nd and 4th sat as off

What You’ll Own

Procurement & Strategic Sourcing

- Manage end-to-end procurement of pharma raw materials, APIs, excipients, specialty chemicals, packaging, and operational materials.
- Drive sourcing from requirement planning → supplier selection → negotiation → PO → delivery.
- Build scalable sourcing processes to support CLYZO’s growth.
- Ensure the right material, quality, price, and delivery

Supplier Development & Vendor Network

- Build and expand a reliable network of manufacturers, suppliers, and alternate sources.
- Identify and evaluate vendors based on quality, pricing, capacity, reliability, and compliance.
- Develop alternate sources to strengthen supply security and reduce vendor dependency.
- Build long-term strategic supplier relationships, not just transactional partnerships.

Negotiation, Cost & Margin





- Lead commercial negotiations and drive cost optimization.
- Benchmark market prices and evaluate quotations for the best sourcing opportunities.
- Negotiate pricing, MOQ, payment terms, credit, lead time, and freight.
- Drive cost savings, improve margins, and support overall business profitability.

Procurement Process & Operational Excellence

- Streamline procurement workflows for speed, transparency, and efficiency.
- Manage RFQs, evaluations, POs, follow-ups, and delivery tracking.
- Monitor orders and proactively resolve delays, shortages, and supply risks.
- Maintain vendor databases, trackers, MIS, and procurement documentation.
- Use ERP, Chemarc, MS Excel, and other tools to improve procurement efficiency.

Team Leadership

- Lead the Procurement & Sourcing team with clear targets, ownership, and accountability.
- Allocate work, monitor performance, and ensure timely closure.
- Mentor the team on sourcing, negotiation, vendor management, and PO execution.
- Build a culture of speed, ownership, and commercial thinking.

What We’re Looking For

- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Supply Chain, Procurement, or a related field.
- 3–6 years’ experience in procurement, sourcing, purchase, or supply chain.
- Strong experience in pharma raw materials, APIs, excipients, intermediates, or specialty chemicals preferred.
- Proven skills in vendor development, sourcing, negotiation, quotation analysis, and procurement execution.
- Experience in team management/mentoring with strong commercial and analytical skills.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems, and MS Excel.
- Strong negotiation, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- A proactive, ownership-driven approach suited to a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.

This role is for someone who doesn't just raise POs and follow up with vendors.
