About the Role

We are seeking an accomplished academic leader for the position of Dean – Research to provide strategic leadership for the institution's research, innovation, consultancy, intellectual property, publications, and external funding initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and implement the institution's overall research strategy.
- Promote high-quality research across schools, departments, and disciplines.
- Establish and strengthen research centres, laboratories, and interdisciplinary research programs.
- Drive sponsored research and funding opportunities from government, industry, and international agencies.
- Support faculty in preparing competitive research proposals and grant applications.
- Establish collaborations with universities, research institutions, industries, and international partners.
- Improve quality and quantity of Scopus/WoS-indexed publications and citations.
- Promote patents, copyrights, technology transfer, startups, incubation, and innovation.
- Develop research policies, incentives, guidelines, and performance frameworks.
- Monitor funded projects, research budgets,



deliverables, and compliance.
- Organize research conferences, seminars, workshops, faculty development programs, and research forums.
- Mentor faculty and research scholars.
- Strengthen Ph.D. programs and research scholar development.
- Lead institutional research rankings, accreditation, and research-related documentation.

Eligibility & Qualifications

- Ph.D. from a recognized university with an outstanding academic/research record.
- Professor-level academic experience preferred.
- Significant experience in research leadership and administration.
- Strong publication record in reputed peer-reviewed journals.
- Demonstrated experience in obtaining research grants and managing sponsored projects.
- Experience in Ph.D. supervision and research scholar development.
- Solid knowledge of research policies, intellectual property, innovation, and academic collaborations.
