We are looking for a Sea Import Documentation Executive with hands-on experience in import documentation, IGM filing, and coordination with shipping lines and consolidators.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle Import General Manifest (IGM) filing procedures and ensure compliance with applicable customs regulations and requirements.
- Manage the timely preparation, filing, and verification of Master Bill of Lading (MBL) and House Bill of Lading (HBL) details.
- Coordinate with shipping lines to provide accurate and complete documentation required for MBL IGM filing.
- Coordinate with consolidators, overseas agents, and vendors to ensure timely and accurate submission of HBL IGM details.
- Handle various shipping line documentation and filing processes through ODEx, including CFS nomination and SEZ request processing.
- Monitor IGM and documentation filing deadlines and ensure all submissions are completed within the stipulated timelines.
- Verify MBL/HBL data for accuracy and identify discrepancies before submission.
- Coordinate with shipping lines, consolidators, vendors, and internal teams to resolve documentation and filing discrepancies.
- Follow up with relevant stakeholders for missing or corrected documentation to avoid delays in IGM filing and cargo clearance.
- Maintain proper records of IGM filings, amendments, confirmations,
and related correspondence.
- Ensure adherence to company procedures, customs regulations, and shipping line requirements related to import documentation.
- Provide timely updates to internal teams regarding IGM filing status, discrepancies, and documentation requirements.
- Manage multiple shipments simultaneously while ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
Candidate Requirements
- 3–4 years of relevant experience in Sea Import Documentation / Import Operations within the freight forwarding or logistics industry.
- Strong working knowledge of IGM filing procedures and import documentation.
- Good understanding of Sea Import Operations, customs procedures, and shipping documentation.
- Experience coordinating with shipping lines, consolidators, overseas agents, CFS, vendors, and internal teams.
- Working knowledge of ODEx and shipping line filing processes.
- Familiarity with CFS nomination and SEZ request processing will be an added advantage.
- Good communication, coordination, follow-up, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple shipments and deadlines effectively.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
