Role Overview

Own and coordinate the end-to-end Salesforce release lifecycle across development, staging, UAT, and production environments. This is a hands-on release management role focused on Git-based workflows, setting readiness, release governance, CI/CD support, and keeping sprint and staging branches aligned with the current production baseline to enable predictable and controlled deployments.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage Salesforce release planning, deployment scheduling, environment readiness, release governance, and deployment documentation across development, staging, UAT, and production environments.
- Create and manage Git pull requests, including creating pull requests on behalf of Salesforce Administrators when required.
- Create a new sprint branch following each successful production deployment and maintain disciplined branch lifecycle practices.
- Perform targeted defect-driven rollback using cherry-picking when QA or UAT validation fails and a rollback or fix is required.
- Regularly rebase sprint and staging branches to keep them aligned with the current production code and configuration baseline.
- Coordinate deployments, change management activities, and release validation with Developers, QA Engineers, Business Analysts, and Salesforce Administrators.
- Support Git-based CI/CD automation and troubleshoot metadata, dependency, merge, validation, and deployment issues across Salesforce environments.
- Maintain release calendars, implementation and rollback steps, deployment evidence, risk and dependency logs, and post-release status documentation.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and communicate release risks, blockers, dependencies, and timing impacts promptly.

Required Skills & Experience





- 5+ years of Salesforce experience, including hands-on release management or Salesforce DevOps responsibilities.
- Strong working knowledge of Git, pull requests, branching strategies, rebasing, merge conflict resolution, and cherry-pick workflows.
- Hands-on experience with the Salesforce deployment lifecycle, environments and sandboxes, metadata dependencies, validation, and production release coordination.
- Experience with Salesforce DX and Git-based CI/CD pipelines.
- Hands-on experience with Gearset is strongly preferred; equivalent Salesforce deployment automation experience is acceptable.
- Experience with deployment automation tools and CI/CD platforms such as Copado, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins is beneficial.
- Strong coordination, documentation, troubleshooting, and stakeholder communication skills.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams and supporting sprint-based release cadences.
- Ability to maintain a minimum 4-hour daily overlap with U.S. Eastern Time business hours for standups, sprint ceremonies, release coordination, and real-time collaboration.

Certifications

- Gearset Certification or demonstrable advanced Gearset experience - Preferred
- Salesforce Certified Administrator - Preferred
- Salesforce Platform Developer I - Preferred
- Copado Fundamentals - Preferred
