Role Description The Assistant Maintenance Manager is a full time, on-site role based in Bhubaneswar. This position supports the Maintenance Manager in planning, coordinating, and supervising maintenance activities to ensure equipment reliability and safety. Day-to-day responsibilities include overseeing maintenance and repair work, implementing and monitoring preventive maintenance schedules, and ensuring compliance with maintenance standards and procedures. The role involves coordinating with operations and other departments to minimize downtime, maintaining accurate maintenance records,
and supporting continuous improvement initiatives in maintenance practices. The Assistant Maintenance Manager also assists in managing maintenance teams, contractors, spare parts inventory, and adherence to health, safety, and environmental guidelines.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Supervisory Skills to lead maintenance teams, allocate tasks, and monitor performance.
- Candidates should possess Equipment Maintenance and Maintenance & Repair skills to troubleshoot issues and ensure smooth operation of machinery and systems.
- Candidates should possess Preventive Maintenance and Maintenance Management skills to plan schedules, optimize resources, and reduce unplanned downtime.
- Relevant technical qualification such as a diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (or related field).
- Experience in industrial, manufacturing, or power plant environments, with familiarity in safety and regulatory compliance.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and manuals, use maintenance management software, and maintain clear documentation.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to work collaboratively on-site in Bhubaneswar.
