Company Description Medhavi Foundation is a not-for-profit company that operates a chain of skill training centres across Jharkhand and several other eastern and northeastern states of India, working with more than 5,000 students each year. Its core mission is to bridge the gap between the employability of rural youth and the manpower requirements of industry. Medhavi Foundation partners with the National Skill Development Corporation, corporates, and state skill missions, with a mandate to skill-train and create employment opportunities for 50,000 youth over the next five years. Over the past six years, the organization has trained and placed around 6,000 students in various sectors through government-sponsored, CSR, and paid programs. It also sets up and runs Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Kendras across India as part of the central government's Skill India campaign.
Role Description The Air Conditioning and Home Appliance Technical Trainer will design and deliver practical and theory-based training modules on installation, maintenance, and repair of air conditioning systems and common home appliances. This full-time, on-site role in Haldia involves planning lesson schedules, conducting classroom and workshop sessions, demonstrating tools and equipment use, and ensuring adherence to safety standards. The trainer will assess learner progress through tests and hands-on evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and support learners in developing job-ready technical and soft skills. Responsibilities also include maintaining training equipment,



updating curricula to align with industry standards, preparing documentation and reports, and coordinating with centre management for smooth batch operations. The trainer may interact with industry partners and participate in placement-linked activities to improve employment outcomes for learners.
Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong technical skills in installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of air conditioners, refrigerators, washing machines, and other major home appliances.
- Candidates should possess practical knowledge of electrical safety, basic electronics relevant to HVAC and appliances, and the use of diagnostic tools and test instruments.
- Candidates should possess skills in training delivery, lesson planning, classroom management, and hands-on workshop facilitation for diverse learner groups.
- Candidates should possess clear communication skills, the ability to explain technical concepts in simple language, and capability to mentor and motivate learners from diverse backgrounds.
- Candidates should possess sound record-keeping and basic computer skills for maintaining trainee data, preparing reports, and using digital learning resources.
- ITI/Diploma in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, Electrical, or related field; or equivalent industry experience in HVAC/home appliance servicing.
- Prior experience as a technician or technical trainer in the AC and home appliance sector is highly beneficial.
- Ability to work on-site in Haldia, follow organizational processes, and collaborate with centre staff and management.
