We are looking for an experienced Principal Engineer / Technical Lead to be the technical authority within our R&D; group. This role combines deep hands-on development with technical leadership, architecture ownership, and engineering excellence.

The ideal candidate is a top-level software engineer who drives solution design, defines engineering standards, leads complex technical initiatives, mentors developers, and promotes innovation through modern software engineering and AI-powered development practices.

Responsibilities

- Serve as the technical leader and trusted advisor for the development group.
- Design scalable, secure, maintainable, and cloud-ready software solutions.
- Lead the design and implementation of the most complex product, platform, infrastructure, and architectural initiatives.
- Drive technical direction, architecture decisions, and engineering best practices.
- Establish development guidelines, coding standards, and design principles.
- Perform design reviews, code reviews, and technical assessments to ensure high-quality software delivery.
- Mentor and coach engineers, helping elevate technical capabilities across the organization.
- Act as a force multiplier by enabling developers through reusable frameworks, automation, and engineering best practices.
- Drive continuous improvement in quality, performance, security, scalability, and maintainability.
- Lead technical investigations, root-cause analysis, and resolution of critical issues.
- Partner with Product Management, Architecture, QA, DevOps, and leadership teams to align technical solutions with business objectives.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend innovations that enhance products and engineering efficiency.
- Drive platform modernization initiatives, including cloud-native architectures, distributed systems, and API-first development.
- Identify and lead initiatives to reduce technical debt and improve long-term platform sustainability.
- Champion AI-first engineering practices, including AI-assisted development, automated testing, intelligent code reviews, and developer productivity tools.




- Define best practices and governance for effective and responsible use of AI within software development.
- Contribute hands-on development to strategic and high-impact initiatives when needed.

Essential

Required Skills / Qualifications / Certifications / Tech Stack

- B.Sc. / B.A. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- 10+ years of software development experience.
- Proven experience leading architecture, technical strategy, and cross-team engineering initiatives.
- Expert-level knowledge of C#, .NET, and modern software development practices.
- Strong expertise in React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, and modern web architectures.
- Extensive experience with SQL Server, Entity Framework, REST APIs, and distributed systems.
- Solid understanding of software architecture patterns and scalable enterprise systems.
- Experience with Microservices, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD practices.
- Experience with AWS and/or Azure cloud platforms.
- Hands-on experience with GitHub Copilot, AI development agents, or similar AI engineering platforms.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proven mentoring and technical leadership capabilities.

Preferred

- Experience with Retail, Fuel, Energy, Mobility, or Payment solutions.
- Experience with SaaS and multi-tenant architectures.
- Knowledge of Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and Event-Driven Architecture.
- Modern AI-assisted software engineering practices.
- Experience building AI-enabled products or intelligent automation solutions.

Experience with WinForms/WPF modernization projects.
