Role Overview

We is seeking detail-oriented freshers and experienced annotators to support an AI speech-recognition data project. The role involves listening to telephonic audio in Hindi, English, and Hindi-English code-mixed speech and creating accurate, training-ready transcripts. The work requires a strong command of Hindi and Devanagari, careful listening, consistent application of transcription rules, and strict adherence to quality and data-confidentiality requirements.

Key Details

- Position: AI Annotator
- Location: Udupi (Strictly Work from Office) (No Relocation Required Strictly)
- Shift Timings: Rotational shifts depending upon project requirement

Availability:

Candidates must have completed their degree, be available to join immediately, and be comfortable working in either the morning or evening shift with their own transport arrangement.

Key Responsibilities

- Listen carefully to assigned telephonic audio and transcribe exactly what is spoken without translating, rewriting, correcting grammar, or guessing unclear words.
- Accurately transcribe Hindi, English, and Hindi-English code-mixed speech while preserving the original language, spoken order, repetitions, and filler words.
- Write Hindi words, Indian names, places, and Hindi-origin nouns accurately in Devanagari, and apply English casing, abbreviation, number, and punctuation rules correctly.




- Create and review segment-level transcripts with timestamps in the designated transcription tool and required SRT format.
- Perform self-quality checks, flag unclear or noisy audio for review, implement feedback, support rework, and maintain strict confidentiality of all audio and transcripts.
- Meet assigned productivity targets while maintaining a minimum transcription accuracy of 97% and complying with project guidelines.

Requirements & Qualifications

- Education: Any Graduate from any discipline with strong Hindi reading and writing skills.
- Experience: Freshers are welcome. Candidates with prior transcription, annotation, data-processing, or quality-review experience will have an advantage.
- Language Proficiency: Excellent command of written and spoken Hindi, strong Devanagari spelling, and the ability to understand Hindi-English code-mixed speech. Working knowledge of English is required.
- Tech Comfort: Positive computer literacy, typing skills in Hindi and English, and the ability to learn web-based transcription and annotation tools.
- Skillset: Strong listening ability, attention to detail, patience, consistency, and the ability to follow detailed language and quality guidelines.
