Product Manager, Business Systems

About the Role

We are looking for a Product Manager, Business Systems to own our core finance systems and help improve the way business teams use technology to solve operational problems.

This role combines hands-on NetSuite ownership, finance systems expertise and product thinking. You will work closely with the Finance team to manage and continuously improve NetSuite, while also partnering with teams across the organization to understand business requirements, evaluate solutions and drive business systems initiatives.

You should be comfortable getting into the details of a system, understanding how a business process works, configuring and testing solutions, and working with technical teams when a requirement needs automation, integration or custom development.

The Role

The role brings together finance systems management and business systems product ownership.

You will be responsible for the ongoing administration and optimization of NetSuite, including configuration, workflows, roles and permissions, saved searches, reports and forms. You will work closely with Finance to support critical processes such as financial close, AP/AR, reporting and period- and quarter-end activities.

At the same time, you will work with stakeholders across Finance, Go-to-Market, People, Talent, Legal, IT and other functions to understand business problems and determine the right technology solution. This could mean configuring an existing capability, automating a process, integrating systems, building a custom solution or evaluating a new tool.

The role requires someone who can move comfortably between business requirements, finance processes and technology and take ownership from discovery through implementation and continuous improvement.

What You'll Do

NetSuite & Finance Systems

- Own the day-to-day administration and ongoing management of NetSuite.
- Configure and maintain workflows, roles and permissions, saved searches, reports, forms and other NetSuite capabilities.
- Work closely with Finance to understand and support business processes within NetSuite.
- Support period-end, month-end and quarter-end finance activities.
- Support processes across financial close, AP, AR and financial reporting.
- Troubleshoot system issues and work with Finance, technical teams and external partners to resolve them.
- Identify opportunities to improve existing NetSuite processes, configurations and workflows.
- Maintain documentation for NetSuite configurations, finance processes, integrations and key dependencies.




- Support audit requirements by maintaining appropriate documentation and system evidence.
- Identify manual finance processes that can be simplified or automated and drive their implementation.
- Work on NetSuite integrations with other business applications and help troubleshoot integration issues.
- Evaluate and implement improvements to NetSuite as business and finance requirements evolve.

Business Systems & Product Management

- Work with stakeholders across Finance, Go-to-Market, People, Talent, Legal, IT and other functions to understand their needs and underlying business problems.
- Translate business needs into clear problem statements, requirements and solution options.
- Assess whether a requirement can be addressed through NetSuite configuration, another existing system, automation, custom development or a new tool.
- Run lightweight proofs-of-concept to validate feasibility before significant investment.
- Evaluate solutions based on cost, time, risk, scalability and maintainability.
- Make clear build-vs-buy recommendations.
- Write clear requirements and specifications and partner with engineering and technical teams to deliver solutions.
- Lead evaluation and selection of new business systems and SaaS applications where required.
- Own and prioritise a roadmap and backlog for business systems initiatives.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and communicate decisions and trade-offs clearly.
- Drive adoption, enablement and post-launch improvements.
- Measure outcomes and use feedback to continuously improve implemented solutions.
- Maintain clear documentation of requirements, decisions, systems and key processes.

Integrations & Automation

- Understand how NetSuite fits into the broader business systems ecosystem.
- Work with integrations, APIs and automation tools to improve business processes.
- Partner with technical teams to design and implement system integrations and automations.
- Identify opportunities to eliminate manual work and improve the reliability and scalability of business processes.
- Evaluate how different systems should work together and identify gaps or dependencies.

What We're Looking For

- 4–6 years of relevant experience working with NetSuite, finance systems, ERP or business systems.




- Hands-on experience administering and configuring NetSuite in a business environment.
- Strong experience with NetSuite workflows, roles and permissions, saved searches, reports and forms.
- Solid understanding of finance and accounting processes, including financial close, AP, AR and reporting.
- Experience supporting month-end, period-end or quarter-end finance processes.
- Experience working with enterprise SaaS applications and business systems.
- Ability to understand a business requirement and determine whether the right solution is configuration, automation, integration, custom development or a new tool.
- Experience gathering requirements, defining solutions and working with business and technical stakeholders.
- Comfortable getting hands-on with systems and running proofs-of-concept to validate solutions.
- Understanding of APIs, integrations and automation concepts.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- Strong written communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and clearly communicate decisions, trade-offs and recommendations.
- A bias for action and the ability to take a requirement from discovery through implementation and adoption.

Nice to Have

- NetSuite certification.
- Experience with SuiteFlow, SuiteScript or SuiteAnalytics.
- Experience with NetSuite integrations and integration platforms.
- Experience working with other business systems such as CRM, HR, payroll, procurement or support platforms.
- Experience evaluating and implementing enterprise SaaS applications.
- Experience supporting financial audits and compliance processes.
- Exposure to procurement, vendor management or software renewal cycles.
- Familiarity with AI-enabled tools and modern approaches to business and process automation.
- CA, MBA Finance or another relevant finance qualification.
