Job Description –Android Developer

Location: Pune - Onsite/ Hybrid

Job Type: C2H - 6 months (Extendable)

Experience: 4 - 7 Years

Role Overview

We are looking for a Android Developer with strong hands-on experience in developing and enhancing native Android applications with a focus on high performance, scalability, reliability, and device connectivity.

The ideal candidate should have experience in native Android development, React JS, RESTful APIs/Web Services, Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), and Wi-Fi Mirroring/Casting. Experience with mapping and location-based features will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain high-performance native Android applications.

• Build responsive and user-friendly mobile interfaces and reusable components using React JS and modern mobile development practices.

• Develop scalable, reliable, and maintainable Android application components.

• Integrate Android applications with RESTful APIs and Web Services.

• Implement API communication, data handling, authentication, error handling, and response processing.

• Implement and troubleshoot Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) functionality for communication and connectivity with external devices.

• Implement, integrate, and troubleshoot Wi-Fi Mirroring/Casting solutions.

• Diagnose and resolve application, connectivity, and device-related issues.

• Perform debugging, root-cause analysis, and performance optimization.

• Ensure compatibility and consistent application performance across different Android devices and versions.

• Collaborate with backend, QA, product, and other engineering teams to deliver reliable mobile solutions.

• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, testing, and documentation.





• Support application releases and troubleshoot production issues.

Required Technical Skills

Native Android Development

• Strong hands-on experience in native Android application development.

• Solid understanding of Android application architecture, lifecycle, UI components, and device compatibility.

• Experience building scalable and performance-oriented Android applications.

• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.

React JS

• Hands-on experience with React JS for building responsive interfaces and reusable components.

• Understanding of modern frontend development practices.

• Experience integrating frontend components with backend services/APIs.

REST APIs / Web Services

• Strong experience integrating RESTful APIs/Web Services with Android applications.

• Good understanding of HTTP methods, JSON, request/response handling, authentication, and error handling.

• Ability to troubleshoot API and connectivity-related issues.

Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE)

• Hands-on experience implementing and troubleshooting BLE-based device connectivity.

• Understanding of BLE device discovery, connection, services, characteristics, read/write operations, and notifications.

• Experience troubleshooting BLE communication and connectivity issues.

Wi-Fi Mirroring / Casting

• Experience implementing or troubleshooting Wi-Fi Mirroring/Casting solutions.





• Understanding of mobile device connectivity and network-related issues.

• Ability to troubleshoot compatibility, connectivity, and performance issues related to casting.

Nice-to-Have Skills

Mapping & Location-Based Features

• Experience developing or enhancing GPS/location-based features.

• Experience with geofencing.

• Experience with map integrations and location tracking.

• Experience with map-based UI components.

• Experience with map service integrations.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working on complex Android applications requiring high performance, scalability, and reliability.

• Experience troubleshooting mobile device, connectivity, API, and network-related issues.

• Experience with application testing, debugging, and performance optimization.

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

• Experience collaborating with cross-functional engineering and QA teams.

Education

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Electronics, or a related technical discipline.
