As part of the Platform Engineering organization, you will work with software engineers, infrastructure specialists, security teams, and product stakeholders to develop tools and platforms that accelerate innovation across the company.

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Senior Internal Developer Platform Engineer to help design and scale an internal platform that empowers hundreds of engineers to build, test, deploy, and operate applications efficiently.

This role combines software engineering, cloud infrastructure, DevOps practices, and developer experience initiatives. You will play a key role in defining platform architecture, driving automation, and improving the overall software delivery lifecycle.

What You Will Do

Build Platform Products

- Design, develop, and maintain Internal Developer Platform (IDP) capabilities.
- Create self-service solutions that simplify infrastructure provisioning, deployment, observability, and operational workflows.
- Develop reusable platform components and engineering standards.

Improve Developer Experience

- Streamline developer workflows through automation and self-service capabilities.
- Reduce operational overhead by eliminating manual processes.
- Drive adoption of platform best practices across engineering teams.

Cloud & Infrastructure Engineering





- Design and operate scalable cloud infrastructure.
- Improve reliability, performance, security, and availability of platform services.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code and configuration management solutions.

CI/CD & Automation

- Design and enhance enterprise-grade CI/CD pipelines.
- Automate application delivery, testing, deployment, and rollback processes.
- Improve software delivery speed while maintaining reliability and governance.

Platform Reliability & Observability

- Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and operational tooling.
- Identify system bottlenecks and drive performance improvements.
- Establish reliability and operational excellence standards.

Technical Leadership

- Collaborate with engineering leaders to define platform strategy and roadmap.
- Influence architectural decisions and technology selection.
- Mentor engineers and promote platform engineering best practices.

Required Qualifications

Experience

- 7+ years of experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps Engineering, Cloud Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, or Software Engineering.
- Proven experience building and operating Internal Developer Platforms or large-scale engineering platforms.
- Experience supporting multiple engineering teams through shared infrastructure and platform services.

Programming

Solid hands-on software development experience in one or more of:

- Go
- Python
- TypeScript
- JavaScript
- Node.js

Cloud Platforms

Deep expertise with at least one major cloud platform:

- AWS
- Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Microsoft Azure





Including:

- Compute services
- Networking
- Identity and access management
- Storage services
- Security controls

Containers & Kubernetes

- Strong Kubernetes administration and operations experience.
- Hands-on expertise with Docker.
- Experience managing production container platforms.
- Familiarity with Helm and Kubernetes ecosystem tools.

CI/CD & DevOps

Experience designing and managing modern software delivery pipelines using technologies such as:

- GitHub Actions
- Jenkins
- ArgoCD
- GitLab CI
- Similar CI/CD platforms

Infrastructure as Code

Strong experience with:

- Terraform
- Infrastructure automation
- Environment provisioning
- Configuration management

Soft Skills

- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Natural collaborator who enjoys working across engineering organizations.
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with Developer Experience (DevEx) initiatives.
- Google Cloud Platform expertise.
- Experience operating large-scale production systems.
- Backend service development experience.
- Microservices architecture experience.
- Knowledge of service mesh technologies.
- Experience with Kafka, Kafka Connect, or Kafka Streams.
- Experience with NoSQL databases such as Cassandra.
- Experience building developer portals and self-service platforms.
- Experience implementing automated testing within CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience working in globally distributed engineering teams.
