Basic Functions:
Nucor Towers & Structures Inc, a division of Nucor, the United States largest recycler and largest
manufacturer of steel and steel products, is seeking qualified applicants for experienced detailers and checkers at our business unit located in Noida, UP. Duties of the successful candidate include but are not limited to the following:
- Independently detail and coordinate complex projects.
- Continue developing advanced detailing skills within the Nucor Towers& Structures Detailing System.
- Review technical project drawings, scope, specifications, addenda, and other contractual information received with the project.
- Identify and develop information to inform internal teammates of any changes made to drawings.
- Address change orders produce related documentation and enter them into the business system.
- Prepare accurate 3D models and corresponding erection and shop detail drawings using Autodesk Inventor and Bluestar PLM software.
- Communicate with engineers and other internal teammates to address project questions.
- Develop the ability to support project management and project coordination by preparing reports to support.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with local and global teammates.
- Coordinate detailing efforts across projects or teams.
- Mentor and Supervise Junior Detailers.
- Perform quality control reviews of drawings and 3D models ensuring Quality assurance & Quality control practices are followed.
- Ensure all drawings are entered into PLM with appropriate parameters and attributes that are needed for procurement and production.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to
demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and
housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Able to communicate in English.
- B.Tech (Mechanical), Polytechnic Diploma or equivalent.
- Five or more years of work experience with Autodesk Inventor, Fusion, SolidWorks, Solid Edge, Creo, NX, or Catia.
- 5+ years modeling/drafting experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- B.Tech inMechanical Engineering
- 7+ years work experience with regular Autodesk Inventor use
- Competency using Bluestar Project Lifecycle Management (PLM), Fusion Manage, or similar software.
- 3+ years utility structures industry experience.
- Experience in quality checking the modeling or drafting work of others.
- Experience developing drafting standards.
- Experienced with working of US standards and manuals.
