Position : Mechanical Equipment Engineer

Role & Technical Responsibilities:

- Responsible for execution and supervision of mechanical erection activities for EPC/EPCM/PMC projects, including equipment works as per drawings and specifications.
- Carry out site supervision of static, rotary, and package equipment erection activities ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.
- Responsible for bill checking and certification of mechanical BOQ items in line with actual site progress, contract terms, and approved quantities.
- Preparation and review of rigging plans for heavy equipment erection in coordination with senior team and client requirements.
- Coordinate with engineering and client teams for resolution of site engineering issues and technical clarifications.
- Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and subcontractors for smooth execution of mechanical works.
- Monitor and ensure construction activities are executed in line with approved schedule, drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Ensure availability of drawings, documents, and materials for uninterrupted construction activities.
- Supervise subcontractor works to ensure quality workmanship and adherence to project standards.
- Preparation and verification of BOQ (Bill of Quantities) from detailed drawings.
- Assist in planning, scheduling, and cost monitoring of mechanical construction activities.




- Ensure execution of all works in compliance with HSE norms, safety procedures, and site regulations.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (civil, electrical, instrumentation) for interface management and smooth work execution.
- Support in resource planning, material planning, and productivity monitoring for achieving project targets.
- Knowledge on equipment preservation activities.

Requirements

- Qualification – Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with relevant experience
- Experience in mechanical erection activities for Oil & Gas / Refinery / Petrochemical / Industrial projects
- Strong knowledge of static, rotary, and package equipment erection
- Familiarity with ASME, ASTM, and IS codes and standards
- Understanding of rigging methodologies and heavy lifting practices
- Knowledge of construction sequencing, material planning, and resource management
- Familiarity with BOQ preparation, drawings, and site execution practices
- Understanding of HSE requirements and safety compliance
- Good communication and coordination skills with client, contractor, and internal teams
- Ability to work in multidisciplinary EPC project environments
- Problem-solving approach with focus on execution, quality, and timely completion
