The IT Quality Lead (AVP) is a senior technical leadership role responsible for designing, implementing, and scaling comprehensive test automation strategies and frameworks across our application ecosystem. This role combines hands-on framework architecture with technical leadership, driving engineering excellence, and integrating automated testing into our CI/CD pipelines to support rapid, high-quality software delivery. **Key Responsibilities:** + **Automation Strategy & Architecture:** Design, build, and maintain scalable, robust, and reusable test automation frameworks (UI, API, and Mobile) from scratch. + **Technical Leadership:** Lead and mentor a team of QA and automation engineers, establishing coding standards, conducting code reviews, and driving best practices in test engineering. + **CI/CD Integration:** Collaborate with DevOps and Development teams to integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins/Tekton), establishing automated quality gates for continuous deployment. + **Test Planning & Execution:** Define test automation roadmaps, estimate automation efforts, and collaborate with product owners to align testing with sprint goals in an Agile environment. + **Metrics & Reporting:** Establish, track, and report on key quality and automation metrics (e.g., test coverage, execution pass rates, defect leakage) to senior stakeholders. + **Risk & Compliance:** Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding assets by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations. **Qualifications:** + **Experience:** 8+ years of experience in software quality engineering, with at least 5 years of hands-on experience in test automation framework development. + **Programming Languages:** Strong proficiency in at least one object-oriented programming language (e.g., Java, Python, C#) or JavaScript/TypeScript. + **Automation Tools:** Hands-on expertise with industry-standard automation tools such as Selenium WebDriver, Cypress, Playwright, or Appium.
