Razorpay is looking for a Staff Software Development Engineer (SDE) to join our dynamic team and embark on a rewarding career journey. An SDE is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable and high-performance software systems in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

- Collaborate with product managers, software architects, and other stakeholders to gather business requirements and translate them into software specifications and designs
- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality software applications focused on scalability, reliability, and performance
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code using suitable programming languages and frameworks
- Conduct thorough testing, including unit, integration, and performance testing, to ensure quality and fix bugs
- Work closely with QA teams to achieve comprehensive test coverage and timely defect resolution
- Participate in code reviews to enforce coding standards and best practices
- Investigate and resolve software defects and customer-reported issues
- Improve development processes, tools, and methodologies for better productivity and software quality
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies, trends, and best practices, applying them to enhance innovation
- Collaborate with designers, backend developers, and system administrators to ensure seamless deployment and integration
- Document software designs, technical specifications,



and implementation details
- Contribute across the software development lifecycle—from requirements gathering to estimation, planning, and release management

Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Strong proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, C++, Python, JavaScript)
- Experience with development frameworks and tools (e.g., Spring, .NET, Django, React, Angular)
- Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming principles
- Experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle) and writing efficient SQL queries
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and experience in an Agile workplace
- Knowledge of software testing principles and tools (e.g., unit testing frameworks, automated testing tools)
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills; ability to troubleshoot complex issues
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams
- Ability to adapt to changing requirements, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git, SVN) and CI/CD practices
- Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality software solutions
