Job Summary
We are looking for a passionate and knowledgeable Botany Teacher to teach students about plant biology, ecology, genetics, plant physiology, and related subjects. The ideal candidate should have strong subject knowledge and the ability to make concepts explicit and engaging.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver effective Botany lessons according to the curriculum.- Teach topics such as plant anatomy, taxonomy, physiology, genetics, ecology, and biodiversity.- Conduct practical classes, laboratory experiments, and demonstrations.- Prepare lesson plans, assignments, worksheets, and study materials.- Evaluate students through tests, practicals, assignments, and examinations.- Monitor student performance and provide constructive feedback.- Encourage students to participate in discussions, projects, and scientific activities.- Maintain accurate attendance, academic, and assessment records.- Use presentations,



digital tools, and practical examples to improve learning.- Maintain laboratory discipline and ensure safe handling of equipment and specimens.- Communicate with parents and school/college management when required.- Participate in academic meetings, events, workshops, and extracurricular activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Botany / Life Sciences or a related field.- B.Ed. or relevant teaching qualification preferred for school-level positions.- Prior teaching experience preferred.- Strong knowledge of Botany and practical laboratory techniques.- Excellent communication and classroom-management skills.- Passion for teaching and student development.- Ability to use digital teaching tools and educational resources.
