About the Team and the Role:
The Manufacturing Engineering team is the backbone of Ather’s production excellence, ensuring every vehicle that rolls off the line is built to perfection. As the Hardware Test Engineer, you will be a vital technical driver in our testing ecosystem, responsible for the end-to-end development and validation of Automated Test Equipment (ATE).
This role is centered on ensuring the reliability and performance of our most critical electronic modules—including the Ather Motor Control Unit, Pheriperal Control Unit, Dashboard, BMS & Battery. You will bridge the gap between design and mass production by developing sophisticated test scripts, designing high-precision fixtures (ICT, FCT, FPT), Testers (FCT, EOL, Flashing stations, Test Rigs) and collaborating with internal cross-functional teams and Extrernal suppliers to maintain world-class quality standards.



Your expertise will be instrumental in scaling our production capacity while upholding the rigorous "Ather Standard" for hardware integrity.

Responsibilities:
- Develop a test case scenario, detailed test specification/test steps, test scripts, test execution and analysis, do defect reporting for the test requirements for MCU, VCU, BMS type of modules.
- Define, plan, perform, and evaluate the hardware tests
- Select test equipment and work with vendors to build fixtures and tools
- Manage the hardware and software configuration of box build assemblies in accordance with Ather standards to ensure smooth testing processes
- Work as part of the Integration team to achieve successful integration of box build modules.
- Accountable for delivery of the allocated projects including FCTs, ICTs, FPTs as per the need of the program. (Automated Test Equipment - ATE)
