Assist the Lab Technician in collecting, labeling, and processing patient samples, ensuring all protocols for sample handling and storage are strictly followed.  Prepare and maintain the necessary supplies for laboratory tests, including reagents, consumables, and equipment.  Ensure all laboratory equipment is clean, well-maintained, and functional before field operations begin each day.  Assist with sample preparation for diagnostic testing using NAAT technology and other required procedures.  Maintain detailed logs and records of samples, tests conducted, and results in both hard copy and electronic formats.  Ensure proper disposal of biohazardous waste in compliance with Biomedical Waste (BMW) guidelines.



 Support the Lab Technician in managing laboratory data entry into the Laboratory Management Information System (LMIS) and ensure accurate report generation.  Assist in managing consumable inventory and restocking as needed to maintain a “zero stock out” situation.  Coordinate with field staff, including ASHAs and ANMs, to ensure smooth operations and outreach to target populations.  Help with patient education activities, ensuring they understand the testing process and the importance of adhering to tuberculosis treatment.
