Job Summary:
We are looking for an enthusiastic Oracle DBA Fresher to join our database administration team. The candidate will assist with Oracle database installation, configuration, monitoring, backup/recovery, troubleshooting, and performance monitoring under the guidance of senior DBAs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in Oracle database installation and configuration.
- Monitor database health, availability, and performance.
- Perform database backup and recovery using RMAN.
- Assist with user creation, roles, privileges, and security.
- Monitor tablespaces, datafiles, redo logs, and archive logs.
- Support database startup/shutdown and routine maintenance.
- Troubleshoot basic database errors and incidents.
- Execute SQL queries for database monitoring and troubleshooting.
- Assist with database patching and upgrades.
- Maintain database documentation and operational procedures.
- Follow production support and change-management processes.

Required Skills:
- Basic knowledge of Oracle Database architecture.




- Good understanding of SQL and PL/SQL.
- Knowledge of RMAN backup and recovery.
- Understanding of tablespaces, datafiles, control files, redo/archived logs.
- Basic knowledge of Oracle users, roles, and privileges.
- Familiarity with Linux/Unix commands.
- Basic understanding of database performance concepts.
- Good problem-solving and communication skills.

Valuable to Have:
- Oracle Database certification/training.
- Knowledge of Oracle RAC, Data Guard, or ASM.
- Exposure to cloud databases such as Oracle Cloud.
- Basic scripting knowledge (Shell/Python).

Education:
B.E./B.Tech, MCA, BCA, or equivalent degree with relevant Oracle DBA training/certification.
Fresher Note:
For a fresher, companies generally focus more on Oracle fundamentals + SQL + Linux + RMAN + troubleshooting ability than on production experience.
