Role : Site Engineer – Civil
Purpose : To execute and supervise all civil works related to Railway Telecommunication projects — including Telecom Tower, Casting of Tower foundation, chamber construction, equipment foundations, and tower/pedestal erection — ensuring quality, safety, and compliance with Railway and RDSO standards.
1. Field Execution
- Supervise of Tower foundation/pedestal casting and erection with all civil related works along Railway track, station, or ROW.
- Oversee construction of Tower foundation, Tower erection, pedestal, pile foundation etc, Joint Chambers, Handholes, Telecom Equipment Rooms, and Tower Foundations as per approved drawings.
- Ensure work is carried out within alignment, depth, and quality as per RDSO and approved design from Indian Railway.
- Maintain daily work progress reports and ensure productivity targets are achieved.

2. Quality Assurance & Standards
- Ensure civil works conform to RDSO / Railway Telecom / BSNL OSP specifications.
- Check material quality, including RCC components, sand, aggregates, HDPE ducts, and chamber covers.




- Conduct field tests — cube testing, compaction, and trench depth verification.
- Inspect HDD bore profiles and duct insertion quality.
- Verify and document As-Built parameters for every section of work.

3. Coordination & Liaison
- Coordinate with Railway S&T; department, engineering supervisors, and safety officers for joint inspections.
- Liaise with telecom and electrical teams for coordination during installation and equipment room preparation.
- Handle vendor and subcontractor management at site and ensure proper material utilization.
- Support documentation for joint measurements, billing, and client certification.

4. Safety & Compliance
- Ensure implementation of safety procedures, barricading, signage, and PPE usage.
- Monitor compliance with Railway working regulations during execution near tracks.
- Maintain environmental and statutory compliance as per Railway/contractor norms.
