The job

The Principal Technologist will provide hands-on technical leadership in designing and delivering scalable, secure, and high-quality cloud-based software solutions for AVEVA CONNECT. The role requires strong expertise in C#, .NET, Azure, cloud-native architecture, microservices, containers, databases, and secure software engineering. Working closely with Product, Development, DevOps, Security, and other R&D; teams, the successful candidate will drive architectural decisions, mentor engineers, establish engineering standards, and translate business requirements into robust technical solutions and delivery plans.

Key responsibilities
- Work closely with the Product Owner, stakeholders, and Scrum Team to understand, define, design, and implement software solutions that meet business and customer needs.




- Actively participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning and estimation, backlog refinement, daily Scrum meetings, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Collaborate with Customer Support to troubleshoot customer-reported issues, identify root causes, and drive them to timely resolution.
- Develop high-quality, maintainable, and scalable code that is fully reviewed, unit tested, documented, and delivered in accordance with agreed quality standards.
- Analyze, design, implement, and validate security requirements in alignment with industry-standard cybersecurity practices.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering practices, development processes, and overall product quality.

Essential requirements
- 12+ years of software engineering experience.
- Robust hands-on expertise in C#, .NET / ASP.NET Core, and enterprise cloud-based application development.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azu
