Job Description / Roles & Responsibilities:

The CAD Engineer is responsible for generating CATIA V5 Body Engineering CAD concepts/ solutions for ongoing and recent projects for Door Trims.

Roles and responsibilities: -

This position is responsible for the creation of CAD geometry and Drawings in support of various Exterior Trims projects.

• Be responsible for designing of Exteriors, Underbody (Functional Black Trim) and Ornamentation commodities components – Aero trays, Wheel arch liners, Heatshields, Active Vanes / shutters, Upstream duct, Brake duct, Secondary Bulkhead, NVH pads, ADL, Metal brackets, Badges, Leaf screen, Frunk, Beautification Civer, etc.

• Extensive experience in using CATIA V5 & V6 (Generative Shape design, Part Design,



Assembly & Drawing workbench)

• Create parametric 3D proposals in Catia maintaining editable history, define materials & create components as well as assembly drawings with drawing standards wherever applicable.

• Packaging studies, environment check, kinematics simulation (if applicable) for various mechanisms with good knowledge of all regulatory and functional requirements.

• Very good understanding of DFM and DFA

• Detailed Engineering knowledge of design, function, performance, production & manufacturing requirements

• Ensure system, sub-system and components meets required interfaces, DVA, Optical and Perceived Quality targets.

• Ensure Regulatory compliance of system, sub-system and components.

• Follow and deliver company goals and strategies.

• Establishing and maintaining the teamwork plan aligned to vehicle program.

• Basic Knowledge of rules and reactions in Catia
