Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced AS400 Developer with strong Synon (CA 2E) skills to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of IBM iSeries systems, RPG programming (RPGLE/CL), and hands-on experience with CA 2E (Synon) for application development and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain applications on the IBM i (AS400) platform using Synon (CA 2E).
- Modify and enhance existing programs using RPGLE, CLLE, and DDS.
- Work with business analysts and end-users to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Perform unit testing, debugging, and documentation of developed modules.
- Participate in code reviews and ensure compliance with internal development standards.
- Monitor and resolve production issues in a timely manner.




- Work with DB2/400 and SQL for database development and performance optimization.
- Support migration and modernization efforts involving AS400 systems.
- Provide technical support and mentorship to junior developers as needed.

Required Skills:
- Strong experience in Synon/2E (CA 2E) development.
- Proficiency in IBM iSeries (AS400) platform.
- Hands-on experience with RPG, RPGLE, CL, CLLE, DDS.
- Good knowledge of DB2/400, SQL, and query tools.
- Experience with SDLC, version control, and change management systems.
- Ability to understand and troubleshoot legacy code.
- Robust analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of ILE concepts and modular programming.
- Exposure to modernization tools or APIs (REST, SOAP) is a plus.
- Experience in agile methodologies is an added advantage.
