Senior Store In-Charge – Roles & Responsibilities
1. Material Management
- Maintain proper records of receipt, issue, and balance of all construction materials.
- Ensure materials are received as per purchase order (PO) and specification.
- Conduct physical verification of materials and report any discrepancies immediately.
- Monitor minimum and maximum stock levels to avoid shortages or overstocking.
- Handle storage of materials safely to prevent damage, rust, or wastage.

2. Documentation & Record Keeping
- Maintain updated Material Inward/Outward Registers, Goods Receipt Notes (GRN), and Material Issue Slips.
- Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly Material Consumption Reports.
- Ensure all entries are updated in the ERP/software system on time.
- Maintain proper documentation for returnable and non-returnable materials.

3. Coordination with Departments
- Coordinate with the Procurement, Accounts, and Site Execution teams for material requirements.
- Follow up on Purchase Requisitions (PRs) and Purchase Orders (POs) to ensure timely delivery.




- Support planning and billing teams with accurate material data and consumption reports.

4. Inventory Control & Audit
- Conduct monthly and quarterly stock audits and reconcile physical stock with system records.
- Prepare Stock Reconciliation Reports and highlight variances, if any.
- Ensure compliance with internal audit and company procedures.

5. Site & Logistic Management
- Supervise unloading, storage, and issue of materials at multiple project sites.
- Maintain proper arrangement of material yards with identification tags and stock locations.
- Coordinate transport and logistics for inter-site material transfer.

6. Safety & Compliance
- Ensure all storage practices comply with safety standards and company policies.
- Maintain MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) for hazardous materials.
- Ensure proper housekeeping and fire safety measures in the store area.
