Job Description & Key Responsibilities
To prepare the food in the respective kitchen as required by the guests, as guided by the chef in charge, including station maintenance and basic cooking tasks.
Mise en Place (Preparation): Washing, peeling, chopping, and cutting fruits, vegetables, and meats before service. Measuring ingredients and making basic stocks, sauces, or dressings.
Inventory and Deliveries: Unpacking food deliveries, checking product quality, rotating stock using the FIFO (First In, First Out) method, and throwing away expired items.
Cleaning and Hygiene: Keeping work areas, knives, and equipment clean and sanitary to meet food safety standards.
