This is a great opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys taking ownership of month-end activities, management reporting, reconciliations, and continuous improvement in a global business workplace. In this role, you'll support the accuracy and integrity of our financial reporting by preparing management accounts, journals, reconciliations, VAT returns, and other key accounting activities. You'll also work closely with Finance colleagues across the organization and support global projects and initiatives. This position is based in our Chennai office, and candidates must be local to the Chennai area and able to work from the office as required. What You'll Do Prepare month-end journals, including correcting entries, accruals, and deferrals, to support accurate and timely financial reporting. Prepare monthly management accounts and supporting financial information. Perform general ledger reconciliations, checks, and controls as part of the month-end close process. Maintain the general ledger and prepare journal entries in accordance with company policies and accounting requirements. Perform intercompany reconciliations and investigate and resolve differences. Complete Goods Received Not Invoiced (GRNI) reconciliations and follow up on outstanding items. Perform monthly bank reconciliations for assigned bank accounts. Manage fixed asset accounting, records, reconciliations, and reporting. Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns. Coordinate with third-party providers on EU VAT reclaims and track and report on the status of outstanding claims. Investigate signif
