We are looking for Automotive Android Audio Framework Engineers to join our Automotive Infotainment engineering team.
The role involves development, customization, integration and debugging of the Android Audio Framework for production automotive infotainment systems. The engineer will work across the Android audio software stack, from Android Framework and Native Audio components through Audio HAL and underlying platform/DSP interfaces.
The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with AOSP Android Audio Framework, excellent C++ programming and system-level debugging skills, and preferably experience developing audio functionality for Automotive Infotainment / Android Automotive (AAOS) products.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, customize and maintain Android Audio Framework components for Automotive Infotainment systems.
Work with AOSP source code and implement audio requirements at Framework and Native layers.
Develop and debug functionality involving:
AudioManager / AudioService
AudioFlinger
AudioPolicyService / AudioPolicyManager
AudioTrack / AudioRecord
Audio Focus
Audio Routing
Audio Attributes
Audio Devices
Audio HAL
Analyze and resolve issues across:
Application ? Android Audio Framework ? Native Audio ? Audio HAL ? DSP / Audio Hardware
Implement and debug audio focus, routing, volume, ducking, muting and stream-priority requirements.
Work with concurrent audio sources such as Media, Navigation, Voice Assistant, Phone/Call and System Sounds.
Debug audio issues including no-audio, incorrect routing, audio interruptions, audio focus failures, audio dropouts/glitches, latency and volume-related issues.
Analyze audio behavior during boot, shutdown, suspend/resume and power-state transitions.
