Role Overview
The Civil Engineer will be responsible for the planning, execution, supervision, and quality assuranceof all civil works relatedto City Gate Stations(CGS), District ControlUnits (DCU), L-CNG/CNG Stations and civil related work in MDPE/steel pipeline laying within the City Gas Distribution network. The role requires robust technical knowledge of civil design and construction, regulatory compliance, and coordination with internal teams, contractors, and statutory authorities to ensure safe, timely, and cost-effective project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Design
Review and interpret engineering drawings, layouts, and civil designs for CGS, DCU, and CNG stations.
Ensure compliance with OISD, PESO, PNGRB, and other applicable statutory codes/standards.
Prepare BOQs, technical specifications, and tender documents for civil works.
Coordination with PMC vendor for all the civil engineering related documents.
Execution & Supervision
Oversee site preparation, foundations, structures, driveways, pavements, boundary walls, drainage, and other associated civil works.
Monitor progress of construction activities against project schedules.
Ensure safety and quality at all project sites.
Conduct site inspections, quality checks, and resolve construction issues.
Coordination & Documentation
Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation teams for interface works.
Liaise with contractors, vendors, consultants, and government bodies.
Maintain project records, site reports, and quality documentation.
Billing & Certification
Prepare and verify contractors’ running account (RA) bills as per work progress.
Certify quantities executed at site against approveddrawings and BOQs.
Maintain records of measurements, site instructions, and work completion for billing purposes.
