Selection and sizing of field instruments such as:
Pressure / Differential Pressure Transmitters
Temperature Transmitters and RTDs
Flow Instruments
Level Instruments
Vibration Sensors
Speed Sensors / Speed Transmitters
Limit Switches and Position Feedback Devices
Engineering of control valves, actuators, solenoid valves and associated accessories.




Preparation and review of Instrument Hook-up Drawings and Installation Details.
Preparation of Instrument Cable Schedule, Junction Box Schedule and Termination Details.
Preparation/review of I/O allocation and PLC/DCS interface requirements.
Understanding of PLC/DCS control philosophy and interlocking/permissive logic.
Development/review of Cause & Effect, Control Narratives, Logic Diagrams and Functional Block Diagrams.
Engineering of Actuator control and feedback signals, including:
Open/Close commands
Open/Close feedback
Torque/Movement fault
Local/Remote status
Position feedback
Interlocks and permissives
Review of vendor drawings, datasheets, GA drawings, wiring diagrams and technical documents.
Technical evaluation of instrumentation vendors and preparation of Technical Bid Evaluation (TBE).
