Overview
Citi Treasury and Trade Solutions (TTS) is seeking a senior Engineering Manager to lead the development of intelligent automation solutions for Payments Operations and Client Servicing. This role sits within the Instant Payments Technology organization and is responsible for leading a team of software engineers while providing strong technical leadership in the design, development, and delivery of AI-enabled platforms and applications.
The successful candidate will combine proven engineering management experience with hands-on technical expertise and a track record of building and deploying enterprise-scale automation solutions into production. This individual will lead engineers, influence technical direction, and actively participate in architecture and implementation decisions while delivering scalable solutions leveraging Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), AI agents, document intelligence, workflow orchestration, and cloud-native technologies.
This role requires a leader who can operate effectively at both strategic and technical levels,



partnering closely with Payments Operations, Product, and Technology teams to identify automation opportunities and translate business needs into scalable software solutions. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated history of leading high-performing engineering teams, delivering distributed systems using contemporary Java technologies, and applying AI capabilities to solve complex operational challenges in large-scale enterprise environments.
