nVirtualization Platform Operations
n• Administer VMware vSphere / ESXi and Microsoft Hyper V environments supporting McCain’s business critical workloads
n• Manage vCenter Server, Hyper V clusters, hosts, and resource pools
n• Perform VM provisioning, cloning, snapshot management, migrations, and decommissioning
n• Configure and maintain HA, DRS, vMotion, Storage vMotion, and Live Migration
n• Ensure environments comply with McCain approved architecture and vendor best practices
nAvailability, Performance & Capacity
n• Maintain high availability clusters for virtual machines and hosts
n• Monitor virtual to physical resource utilization to prevent over commitment
n• Conduct capacity planning, performance tuning,



and optimization
n• Analyze and remediate CPU, memory, storage, and latency bottlenecks
nPatch, Upgrade & Security Compliance
n• Plan and execute hypervisor patching, upgrades, and firmware updates
n• Apply security hardening and vulnerability remediation aligned to McCain standards
n• Upgrade VMware Tools and VM hardware versions
n• Support audit readiness, SOX controls, and compliance evidence
nStorage & Network Integration
n• Attach and manage SAN, NAS, vSAN, and shared storage for McCain virtual platforms
n• Coordinate with storage and network teams for datastore, LUN, and VLAN configurations
n• Configure virtual switches and distributed networking
n• Troubleshoot storage latency and network performance issues
nIncident, Problem & Change Management
n• Provide L2/L3 operational support for virtualization incidents and service requests
n• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement perm
