Role & responsibilities
- Bachelors degree in computer science, or equivalent quantitative field or relative experience. Masters or PhD preferred.
- 10+ years of experience with the following backend programming languages: Python, NodeJS, Java
- 4-6 years of experience developing in SQL and/or NoSQL databases, including but not limited to, MySQL, AWS Aurora, MongoDB, Redis, Cassandra, Redshift, AWS Dynamo
- Experience writing REST APIs in Java or NodeJS
- 4-6 years experience with Git version control and Github
- Experience deploying web applications on AWS
- Excellent analytical data-driven decision making, strategic conceptual thinking, strategic planning, and execution skills.
- Proven experience succeeding in complex, matrix and cross-functional projects
- Hands experience with ReactJS or Angular
- Familiar with DevOps practices, CI/CD,



and Agile methodologies (e.g. SCRUM)
- 5+ years experience with at least one of Spark, Docker, AWS, Kubernetes
- Git version control
- Logging/monitoring
- Atlassian stack (Jira, Confluence, Slack, etc)
- API experience
- Ability to data model and design database schemas
- Experience with ETL and/or ELT Pipelines.
- Experience with consuming and building Rest APIs
- Robust object-oriented and functional coding skills
- Excellent communication skills
