Job Description - Store Keeper

Department: Stores & Inventory

Industry: Synthetic Resin / Chemical Manufacturing

Location: Mangalia, Indore

Reporting To: Plant Head / Operations Manager

Key Responsibilities

Inventory & Store Management
- Maintain accurate real-time stock records of:
- Raw Materials (RM)
- Finished Goods (FG)
- Packing Materials
- Diesel Consumption
- Scrap
- Maintenance & Engineering Items
- Stationery & Miscellaneous Purchases
- Ensure proper storage and identification of all materials.
- Maintain minimum inventory levels for critical raw materials and finished goods.
- Monitor and report slow-moving, non-moving, and dead stock items.

Material Handling
- Supervise loading and unloading of:
- Raw materials
- Finished goods
- Packing materials
- Machinery and maintenance items
- Ensure secure handling and proper stacking of materials as per storage guidelines.
- Coordinate with transporters and dispatch teams for inward and outward movement.

Production Support
- Issue raw materials to production as per approved requisition/slip.




- Maintain proper records of material issued and balance stock.
- Coordinate with production department for material planning and availability.

Documentation & Record Keeping
- Maintain inward and outward registers of all materials.
- Maintain records of:
- Miscellaneous purchases
- Raw material purchases
- Consumables
- Stationery
- Maintenance items
- Maintain records of company assets issued to employees such as:
- Tools
- Safety items
- Electronics
- Uniforms
- Other company property
- Ensure proper documentation for all stock movements.

Stock Verification & Reporting
- Conduct monthly stock taking and physical verification.
- Reconcile physical stock with system/record stock.
- Prepare stock reports and inventory summaries for management.
- Report stock discrepancies, damages, shortages, or excesses immediately.

Housekeeping & Compliance
- Maintain cleanliness and systematic arrangement of stores.
