Job Title: PYP Visual Art Educator

Location: OWIS, Sarjapur Campus
Curriculum: IB PYP (Primary Years Programme)

Job Purpose:
To inspire and nurture creativity in students through engaging and meaningful visual arts experiences aligned with the IB PYP framework. The educator will facilitate inquiry-based learning, encouraging students to explore artistic concepts, techniques, and self-expression.

Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality Visual Arts lessons aligned with the IB PYP philosophy and transdisciplinary themes.
- Foster creativity, critical thinking, and artistic skills through a variety of mediums such as drawing, painting, sculpture, and mixed media.
- Integrate art with Units of Inquiry (UOI) to support holistic learning.
- Create a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration and expression.
- Assess and document student learning through formative and summative assessments in line with IB standards.
- Maintain student portfolios showcasing progress and achievements.
- Organize and support school exhibitions, art displays,



and events.
- Collaborate with homeroom teachers and coordinators to ensure curriculum alignment.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of art materials and resources.
- Promote international-mindedness and appreciation of diverse art forms and cultures.

Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Fine Arts / Visual Arts or related field.
- B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification preferred.
- Minimum 2-4 years of teaching experience, preferably in IB PYP or an international curriculum.
- Familiarity with inquiry-based and concept-driven teaching approaches.
- Solid portfolio demonstrating artistic skills and teaching practices.
