Job Summary:
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate knitting machines (circular / flat / socks machines) efficiently
- Set up machines according to design, yarn type, and production specifications
- Monitor machine performance and ensure smooth operation
- Identify and resolve minor mechanical issues or defects during production
- Maintain consistent product quality and reduce wastage
- Perform routine machine cleaning and basic maintenance
- Ensure production targets are met within given timelines
- Follow safety guidelines and workplace discipline
- Coordinate with supervisors and maintenance team when required
Required Skills:
- Positive knowledge of knitting machines and their operations
- Understanding of yarn types, counts, and fabric structures
- Ability to detect fabric defects and correct them
- Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and quality focus
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Knitting Operator
- Experience in socks manufacturing is an added advantage
- Basic education (10th/12th or equivalent preferred)
Work Environment:
- Factory / Production unit
- Shift-based working (if applicable)
