Job Summary:
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Design Engineer Intern (Visual Communication) to support the design and communication team. The role involves creating visually engaging content, assisting in branding initiatives, and translating technical concepts into clear visual formats. This internship offers hands-on experience in design, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and exposure to real-world projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the engineering team in finalizing 3D models and 2D technical drawings using Solid Edge.
- Convert and modify STEP files to ensure they are optimized for both production and marketing use.
- Ensure all visual representations of boat steering systems remain 100% accurate to the physical engineering specifications.
- Transform CAD data into photo-realistic, high-definition renderings for use in digital and print catalogs.
- Utilize key Shot (or equivalent software) to create high-impact animations showing product operation and internal mechanics.
Support the creation of "How-To" and installation videos by drafting scripts and providing necessary visual assets.
- Collaborate with the graphics team to build visually-rich installation, user, and troubleshooting manuals.
- Supply the Marketing department with accurate technical diagrams and specs for the global product catalog.
- Assist in drafting and editing engineering handbooks to ensure they are up-to-date and easy to navigate.
